Honesty and First Class!!: Troy and Nick (Troy’s legal guardian and parent) are both two of the nicest “people” I have ever known. Troy is Nick’s dog, and Nick officially owns this business. Nick is very open and honest about his interest in providing the best of care for your pet. He certainly makes good on his promises and honesty. The most important virtue is trust, and then you work your way from there. Nick has it all covered with sincere efficiency and gentle courtesy. Thank You my dear friends Nick and Troy!! Buster and I are looking forward to visiting You both very soon! Good-day!!! Your Pal, Eric Michaels.

OUTSTANDING!: My dog Shadow (a Cocker Spaniel) came to me at 1yr+ 2 months from what was described as a big family where he nipped one of the girls 3 times. He seemed aggressive with other dogs. In the 4 months I had him he seemed very loving and kind but aggressive with other dogs so when vacation time drew near I was terrified I wouldn’t find a kennel for him. I was going to cancel my vacations unless I fouond the proper place. Let me tell you what Troy’s did for Shadow. I’ll state it like this ”My dog had such a great time that I would consider reserving for myself!”

The place is impeccable. There is an air purifier. The building has it’s own filtration unit so all the water in the “Resort” in filtered! The pens are specially designed so the dogs can’t see each other on the sides and you can choose the size pen you want for your dog to stay in all day and all night. In addition, the pens have a partition to allow dogs to walk etc. The pens are powerwashed and dried if necessary. My dog Shadow even had his own TV. The attention is personal with much care and interest. The staff is highly knowledgeable and skilled. My dog was treated as if he belonged to them. I spoke to Nick every day once or twice a day and got a detailed informative report on Shadows progress. He had plenty of walks and play time and got his daily requirement of hugs and kisses. When I came back I thought I was getting another dog! Shadow was doing great and was just fine with the other dogs. They even told me that they couldn’t believe the history I got on him from his previous owners. Here comes the icing on the cake. The special treat at the end of his stay was a bath. Shadow didn’t only get a bath he was treated to a cut at my request at Troy’s grooming salon in Englewood, NJ. That is another story. I was afraid of putting him on a table next to another dog getting groomed since he doesn’t like other dogs. Well the groomer who has many clients that come from far and has years of experience said that ” Shadow is the best Cocker Saniel she has ever groomer!” OK, I could go on and on and on! I’m going away again in Sept.2005 for one week. I will be leaving Shadow at his vacation home with his extended family again.

NICK thank you so much for taking such wonderful care of our baby Shadow. I can’t wait to tell everyone about you!!!!!!!!! Lisset

Terrific people and an excellent facility: We had to go to Europe for a wedding and had to leave our 8 mos. standard poodle behind. We
researched intensely for over two months for the best boarding kennel we could find in the tristate (NY-NJ-CT) area. Luckily, only a week
before leaving, we were referred to Troy’s Stay and Play by a friend who had great experiences with Troy’s in the past.

The owner/caretaker, Nick Lygnos is a super person. He really went the extra mile in all aspects, including status updates (calling and
returning calls to me in Greece), daily walks, daily playtime, arranging for grooming, even pictures over email. Furthermore, their
facility is impeccably clean, with variably spacious rooms, air conditioning, an air purifier/filtration, and their food/nutrition is
of the highest quality.

I inspected their boarding/kennel area closely while I was there, and left assured that she was in the best care. There were over a dozen
other happy, healthy dogs already there. Our little girl came back happy, healthy and clean. I really couldn’t be happier with their work, and their facility. Truly 5 stars.

Great facility & caring staff: My dog stayed at Troy’s Stay & Play for one week while I was on Christmas vacation. The manager there called me everyday & gave me news about my pet. The place is very clean & run very profesionally. I highly recommend this kennel.

Troy’s is super clean: I usually don’t review, but I had to respond to the previous post. It had to be written by someone who has never seen this place. It is spotless. And far from small. I suspect a competitor submitted the previous post. I’ve had a great experience with Troy’s.

Troy’s was wonderful! I found it through Google and was a little worried only b/c I didn’t know anyone personally who’d been there. When I called, Nick encouraged me to come check it out before committing to bring my new little baby, Kat, for the weekend. I did, and it looked great. Spacious “townhouses” for the cats, fresh water and food, a four-poster bed, and a fishtank. What more could a kitty want? Kat was there for 5 nights, and I couldn’t be happier. Nick was very gracious about my separation anxiety and didn’t mind my calls to check on her. He also kept an eye on her and reported back to me when I came to pick her up. Prices are a little higher than the PetSmart Pet Hotel (my other option), but Kat will be going back to Troy’s. I think the personalized service and the care that Nick and his staff take with the animals is well worth it.

We’ve been bringing our shepherd mix to Troy’s for the last two years and I have always been impressed with the cleanliness and service. The owner, Nick, is a real dog lover and he’s been great with Rocky. I’ve missed my plane before and had to leave Rocky for an extra night and Nick has always gone out of his way to return calls and make sure we aren’t worried. This is a facility that cares about the animals and their owners.

I’ve been bringing my shepherd mix here for the last two years and I have always been impressed with the cleanliness and service. The owner, Nick, is a real dog lover and he goes out of his way to make sure an owner is at ease while on vacation. I had a family emergency once and had to travel on short notice and Nick even met me at the car ten minutes before he opened to make sure I wasn’t late for my flight. Honestly, you won’t find a place that cares more about you and your pet.
Pros: Safe, caring, excellent service.

The best!
My dog has been staying with Nick at Troy’s for two years when I am out of town. The facility is spotless and the care that the pets get is phenomonal! I have been to many places, but this takes the cake. It’s worth every penny every time!
