Nick Lygnos who runs Troy’s Stay and Play, remembers how he agonized over where he would board his beloved dog Troy when he went on vacation. Well, Nick had a vision to one day open up a dog boarding kennel that would provide comfort, security, and all the “extras” that pets deserve. After working for several years at other boarding facilities, attending week-long seminars, conducting independent research, and after much thought, Nick decided to follow his vision, and open a unique dog and cat boarding facility that would provide the utmost care for customers pets. Because of Troy’s sensitive health condition Nick believed that the most important things in a boarding kennel are air filtration systems, all natural foods, purified water, comfortable thick bedding and daily exercise. With all this in mind Troy’s Stay and Play opened its doors in November 2004.
Troy’s Stay & Play is a luxury dog boarding kennel located in Ridgefield, Bergen County, New Jersey. We offer dog and cat boarding, daycare, and dog and cat grooming, pet food and supplies and are veterinary recommended.
We are also pleased to announce that we are the only kennel in Bergen County to offer an indoor doggy ‘park’. Our doggy ‘park’ is 2,500sq feet of play area. The play area is covered with artificial turf which gives the feel of real grass. We also have cage-free pens in the park area so for some pets that enjoy a little snooze or just want a little time-out they can just go in and relax on our Kuranda beds. We also have a ‘Puppy Playground’ which is 1,500sq feet geared towards smaller dogs and puppies. Both areas are equipped with many exciting and motivating items so as to provide hours of stimulation and excitement for your pet.
But the great thing about Troy’s Stay & Play is that we also offer Pet Taxi Services so no matter where you may live we are always happy & willing to pick up and deliver your pet so he or she can enjoy a day full of fun activities no matter the weather…..
